IPL Skin Rejuvenation

Information
IPL can effectively treat inflammatory pigmentation. This is pigmentation that has been caused by sun damage, incorrect product use or some form of trauma to the skin.
Pigmentation
What can I expect?
The pigmentation will darken immediately, it will then continue to darken and often a scab is formed which will fall off in approx. 7-10days. It is safe to wear a mineral make up after treatment to conceal, you must not pick the skin during this healing process.
What pigment can’t it treat?
Passive pigmentation is a result of an internal imbalance which stimulates the melanin producing hormone. This may occur as a result of pregnancy, a hormonal imbalance and medications such as the contraceptive pill. This type of pigment is often difficult to treat and we do not recommend IPL, however we have a range of our peels, enzyme therapy treatments and home care that can help.
Clients are always advised they must be committed to always wear SPF protection prior and post treatment to ensure a safe treatment and prevent further skin damage fro UV exposure.
Vascular (Capillaries)
IPL Skin Rejuvenation is effective for treating vascular blemishes which appear as fine thread-like vessels usually on the cheeks and around the nose. We often recommend to perform either a series of LED Light Therapy treatments or Enzyme Therapy sessions to strengthen the skin prior to IPL and enhance your long-term results.
What can I expect?
Specific light wavelengths are absorbed by the haemoglobin, heat from the light energy then shrinks the blood vessels. You can expect redness and sensitivity for a few days post treatment, there is a small possibility of tenderness or swelling.

Pricing
How many sessions?
Depending on the depth of the condition and the health of the skin, you may need anywhere between 2 -5 sessions to achieve the desired results. In order to maintain your results, you will be recommended to continue with professional skin care at home and the occasional professional treatment as a form of prevention.
